Nutcracker Advent Calendar – Fill Your Own Advent Calendar

Nutcracker Advent Calendar designed by Stuart Hillard, Author and former BBC 2 The Sewing Bee Contestant.. 

I met Stuart at a trade show earlier on in the year and he explained that the collection was inspired by his favourite ballet, The Nutcracker.  These calendars are part of a collection of fabrics, and I purchased these unmade, and finished the products by adding the pockets, hanging rings and quilting and lining the calendars.

Because the calendars are unfilled, they can be .filled with whatever surprises you want to add to them.    There is also the added advantage that the Calendars can be re-used year after year, becoming a tradition within the family which makes the tradition of Christmas more meaningful.

Complimentary items include quilted stockings with either a Toy Soldier of the Sugar Plum Fairy adorning the front of the stocking.  Again, these are products than can be re-used year after year to become a wonderful and exciting part of the Christmas Hholidays.
