Hand-crafted Irish Wych Elm Refillable Pen

Truly a one-off hand crafted pen made from Irish Wych Elm, finished with brass metal fittings.  The pen is refillable with ‘Parker’ pen refills. All these hand-crafted pens are twist-operated.

The Wych ELm can be found all over Britain and Ireland, although not as common since the ifestation of Dutch ELm Disiease, and the want of fertile soil for agriculture which has left the numbers in decline.

Wych is believed to mean ‘pliable’ in this instance.  There is evidence that the Viking invaders made their arrows from Wych Elm.  Sourced here
